第二章 优胜 记略

阿Q 不 独 是 姓名 籍贯 有些 渺茫 ，连 他 先前 的 “行状 ”也 渺茫 。

因为 未庄 的 人们 之 于 阿Q ，只要 他 帮忙 ，只 拿 他 玩笑 ，从来 没有 留心 他 的 “行状 ”的 。 而 阿Q 自己 也 不 说 ，独有 和 别人 口角 的时候 ，间或 瞪 着 眼睛 道 ：

“我们 先前 ——比 你 阔 的 多 啦 ！

你 算是 什么 东西 ！ 阿Q 没有 家 ，住 在 未庄 的 土谷祠 里 ；也 没有 固定 的 职业 ，只 给 人家 做 短工 ，割麦 便 割麦 ，舂米 便 舂米 ，撑船 便 撑船 。

工作 略 长久 时 ，他 也 或 住 在 临时 主人的 家里 ，但 一 完 就 走 了 。 所以 ， 人们 忙碌 的 时候 ， 也 还 记 起 阿Q 来 ， 然而 记 起 的 是 做工 ， 并 不是 “ 行状 ”； 一 闲空 ， 连 阿Q 都 早 忘却 ， 更 不必 说 “ 行状 ” 了 。 只是 有 一回 ，有 一个 老头子 颂扬 说 ：“ 阿Q 真 能 做 ！ ”这时 阿Q 赤着 膊 ，懒洋洋 的 瘦 伶仃 的 正在 他 面前 ，别人 也 摸不着 这话 是 真心 还是 讥笑 ，然而 阿Q 很 喜欢 。

阿Q 又 很 自尊 ，所有 未庄 的 居民 ，全 不 在 他 眼神 里 ，甚而 至于 对于 两位 “文童 ”也 有 以为 不值一笑 的 神情 。

夫 文童 者 ，将来 恐怕 要 变 秀才 者 也 ；赵 太爷 钱 太爷 大受 居民 的 尊敬 ，除 有钱 之外 ，就 因为 都 是 文童 的 爹爹 ，而 阿Q 在 精神上 独 不 表 格外 的 崇奉 ，他 想 ：我 的 儿子 会 阔 得 多 啦 ！ 加以 进 了 几回 城 ， 阿Q 自然 更 自负 ， 然而 他 又 很 鄙薄 城里人 ， 譬如 用 三尺 三寸 宽 的 木板 做成 的 凳子 ， 未庄 人 叫 “ 长凳 ”， 他 也 叫 “ 长凳 ”， 城里人 却 叫 “ 条凳 ”， 他 想 ： 这 是 错 的 ， 可笑 ！ 油煎 大头鱼 ， 未庄 都 加上 半寸 长 的 葱 叶 ， 城里 却 加上 切细 的 葱丝 ， 他 想 ： 这 也 是 错 的 ， 可笑 ！ 然而 未庄 人 真是 不 见世面 的 可笑 的 乡下人 呵 ，他们 没有 见过 城里 的 煎鱼 ！

阿Q “先前 阔 ”，见识 高 ，而且 “真能 做 ”，本来 几乎 是 一个 “完人 ”了 ，但 可惜 他 体质 上 还有 一些 缺点 。

最 恼人 的 是 在 他 头皮 上 ，颇 有 几处 不知 于 何时 的 癞 疮疤 。 这 虽然 也 在 他 身上 ，而 看 阿Q 的 意思 ，倒 也 似乎 以为 不足 贵 的 ，因为 他 讳 说 “癞 ”以及 一切 近于 “赖 ”的 音 ，后来 推而广之 ，“光 ”也 讳 ，“亮 ”也 讳 ，再 后来 ，连 “灯 ”“烛 ”都 讳 了 。 一 犯讳 ，不问 有心 与 无心 ， 阿Q 便 全 疤 通红 的 发起 怒 来 ，估量 了 对手 ，口讷 的 他 便 骂 ，气力 小 的 他 便 打 ；然而 不知 怎么 一 回事 ，总 还是 阿Q 吃亏 的 时候 多 。 于是 他 渐渐 的 变换 了 方针 ，大抵 改为 怒目而视 了 。

谁 知道 阿Q 采用 怒目 主义 之后 ，未庄 的 闲 人们 便 愈 喜欢 玩笑 他 。

一 见面 ，他们 便 假作 吃惊 的 说 ：

“哙 ，亮 起来 了 。

阿Q 照例 的 发 了 怒 ，他 怒目而视 了 。

“原来 有 保险灯 在 这里 ！

”他们 并 不 怕 。

阿Q 没有 法 ，只得 另外 想出 报复 的话 来 ：

“你 还 不 配 ……”这时候 ，又 仿佛 在 他 头上 的 是 一种 高尚 的 光容 的 癞头疮 ，并非 平常 的 癞头疮 了 ；但 上文 说过 ， 阿Q 是 有 见识 的 ，他 立刻 知道 和 “犯忌 ”有点 抵触 ，便 不再 往 底下 说 。

闲人 还 不 完 ，只 撩 他 ，于是 终而 至于 打 。

阿Q 在 形式 上 打败 了 ，被 人 揪住 黄 辫子 ，在 壁 上 碰 了 四五个 响头 ，闲人 这才 心满意足 的 得胜 的 走 了 ， 阿Q 站 了 一刻 ，心里 想 ， “ 我 总算 被 儿子 打 了 ，现在 的 世界 真 不像样 ……” 于是 也 心满意足 的 得胜 的 走 了 。

阿Q 想 在 心里 的 ，后来 每每 说 出口 来 ，所以 凡是 和 阿Q 玩笑 的人们 ，几乎 全 知道 他 有 这 一种 精神 上的 胜利 法 ，此后 每逢 揪住 他 黄 辫子 的 时候 ，人 就 先 一着 对 他说 ：

“ 阿Q ，这 不是 儿子 打 老子 ，是 人 打 畜生 。

自己 说 ：人 打 畜生 ！ 阿Q 两只手 都 捏住 了 自己 的 辫根 ，歪着头 ，说道 ：

“打 虫豸 ，好不好 ？

我 是 虫豸 —— 还 不 放 么 ？ 但 虽然 是 虫豸 ，闲人 也 并不 放 ，仍旧 在 就近 什么 地方 给 他 碰 了 五六个 响头 ，这才 心满意足 的 得胜 的 走 了 ，他 以为 阿Q 这回 可 遭 了 瘟 。

然而 不到 十秒钟 ， 阿Q 也 心满意足 的 得胜 的 走 了 ，他 觉得 他 是 第一个 能够 自轻自贱 的 人 ，除了 “自轻自贱 ”不算 外 ，余下 的 就是 “第一个 ”。 状元 不 也 是 “ 第一个 ” 么 ？ “你 算是 什么 东西 ”呢 ！

阿Q 以 如是 等等 妙法 克服 怨敌 之后 ， 便 愉快 的 跑 到 酒店 里 喝 几碗 酒 ， 又 和 别人 调笑 一通 ， 口角 一通 ， 又 得 了 胜 ， 愉快 的 回到 土谷祠 ， 放 倒头 睡着 了 。

假使 有钱 ，他 便 去 押 牌宝 ，一 推 人 蹲 在 地面 上 ， 阿Q 即 汗流满面 的 夹 在 这 中间 ，声音 他 最 响 ：

“青龙 四百 ！

“咳 ～～开 ～～啦 ！

”桩 家 揭开 盒子 盖 ，也 是 汗流满面 的 唱 。 “天门 啦 ～～角回 啦 ～～！ 人 和 穿堂 空 在 那里 啦 ～～！ 阿Q 的 铜钱 拿 过来 ～～！ “穿堂 一百 —— 一百五十 ！

阿Q 的 钱 便 在 这样 的 歌吟 之下 ，渐渐 的 输入 别个 汗流满面 的人物 的 腰间 。

他 终于 只好 挤出 堆外 ，站 在 后面 看 ，替 别人 着急 ，一直 到 散场 ，然后 恋恋 的 回到 土谷祠 ，第二天 ，肿着 眼睛 去 工作 。

但 真 所谓 “塞翁失马 安知 非 福 ”罢 ， 阿Q 不幸 而 赢 了 一回 ，他 倒 几乎 失败 了 。

这 是 未庄 赛神 的 晚上 。

这 晚上 照例 有 一台 戏 ，戏台 左近 ，也 照例 有 许多 的 赌摊 。 做戏 的 锣鼓 ，在 阿Q 耳朵 里 仿佛 在 十里 之外 ；他 只 听 得 桩家 的 歌唱 了 。 他 赢 而 又 赢 ，铜钱 变成 角洋 ，角洋 变成 大洋 ，大洋 又 成 了 叠 。 他 兴高采烈 得 非常 ：

“天门 两块 ！

他 不 知道 谁 和 谁 为什么 打 起 架 来 了 。

骂声 打声 脚步声 ，昏头昏脑 的 一大阵 ，他 才 爬起来 ，赌摊 不见了 ，人们 也 不见了 ，身上 有 几处 很 似乎 有些 痛 ，似乎 也 挨 了 几拳 几脚 似的 ，几个 人 诧异 的 对 他 看 。 他 如 有所失 的 走进 土谷祠 ，定 一定 神 ，知道 他 的 一堆 洋钱 不见 了 。 赶 赛会 的 赌摊 多 不是 本村 人 ， 还 到 那里 去 寻 根柢 呢 ？

很白 很 亮 的 一堆 洋钱 ！

而且 是 他 的 —— 现在 不见 了 ！ 说 是 算 被 儿子 拿 去 了 罢 ，总 还是 忽忽不乐 ；说 自己 是 虫豸 罢 ，也 还是 忽忽不乐 ：他 这回 才 有些 感到 失败 的 苦痛 了 。

但 他 立刻 转败为胜 了 。

他擎 起 右手 ， 用力 的 在 自己 脸上 连 打 了 两个 嘴巴 ， 热 剌 剌 的 有些 痛 ； 打 完 之后 ， 便 心平气和 起来 ， 似乎 打 的 是 自己 ， 被 打 的 是 别 一个 自己 ， 不久 也 就 仿佛 是 自己 打 了 别 个 一般 ，—— 虽然 还 有些 热 剌 剌 ，—— 心满意足 的 得胜 的 躺 下 了 。

他 睡着 了 。
